Christopher Herring is a business leader, small business advocate, and retired decorated combat veteran who has dedicated his life to service and leadership. His journey from military service to business leadership, community engagement, and public service paints the picture of a man committed to strengthening San Antonio and supporting the businesses and people who make this city great. Herring was recognized with a lifetime recognition by the US JAYCEES as one of Ten Outstanding Young American Award recipients – joining a short list of less than 700 Americans who have been recognized.
Christopher also served as the President of the Alamo City Black Chamber of Commerce and then nominated and elected for two terms as the Chairman of the Texas Association of African American Chambers of Commerce (TAAACC), where he advocated for the growth of over 250,000 businesses and 24 chambers of commerce across the state of Texas. Christopher served on the Board of Directors of the West San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and launched the River Walk Magazine as the Publisher of River Walk Publishing, LLC. He was the co-owner of New Horizons School LLC for a decade helping to educate the future leaders of San Antonio.
Christopher served in the United States Air Force for over 20 years, including combat deployments in Iraq, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia during the end of Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. His time in these war zones solidified his dedication to protecting freedom and serving his country with honor and distinction. His leadership as commander, protocol officer for US President Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, and Vice President Dick Cheney was crucial to the success of numerous missions, and he remains deeply connected to the military community. Herring retired at Randolph Air Force Base in Joint Base San Antonio.
In addition to his military service, Christopher is a Stage Four cancer survivor. When diagnosed in 2019, he faced the daunting life ending challenge of cancer head-on with the same resolve he brought to his military career. Through sheer determination, he overcame the odds and emerged as a passionate advocate for cancer awareness, early detection, and research. His survival and continued advocacy serve as an inspiration to many and are a reminder that resilience can overcome even the greatest challenges.

You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.
Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too.
